Magic NetTrace, as its own name suggests, is a simple yet powerful application that will let you track the route between the network hosts, and obtain detailed information about each one of them. Besides, the program will also display the "whois" information about the domain that you typed.
Using this program to get information about any web host name or IP address is really a simple process. First you need to type the address, then press the "start traceroute" and the program will perform the rest; it will display a traceroute table with the respective IP addresses. If you make a click on any IP address, the network tab will show all the details about the company, like country, physical address, phone, email, etc.
Besides, the Domain Whois tab, will dislplay more information about the selected IP address like: the administrative contact, when the domain was created and expiration date, etc.
In addition, if you have an ICQ client, you can select a contact from a small window by pressing the ICQ icon, and retrieve his/her IP address. This option could be useful if you want to find out the real location of your friends.
Moreover, the program works pretty fast because it uses multithreading architecture. It supports more than twelve languages, and there are nine themes than can be applied easily to the program interface.
Finally, on this new version (3.0) the IP address range map has been updated. Besides, the problem with whois queries for .com, and .net domains has been fixed; and the application now works more stable under Windows Vista.
